The Sioux Falls Vietnam community has been going in the right direction for the establishment of a Vietnam Pagoda for the past year. Through all the efforts of Buddhists, support from the elders, and leadership, Master Thich Minh Dieu worked to establish the temple in Sioux Falls Member States. They have contributed funds that has been constructed in October/November. The most difficult task was to create the biggest financial Pagoda, because we are not gracious enough to call for the support of benefactors in terms of mass. But, a great opportunity was gave by the bank who has agreed to give the community a loan Association (mortgage loan) to buy the property for the temple but they had to pay down 20% of the real estate purchase.
While the bank has approved a loan for the opportunity; realtor, Marilyn, introduced a church property addressed 2601 South Marion Road, Sioux Falls, SD 57106 to us in a case where they were willing to reduce the price to $110,000. This, to us, was a rare opportunity at hand. We decided to make an offer of $105,000 to the owner, and they sealed the deal.
The Buddhists community in Sioux Falls are very ecstatic about this good news, but still worry about the financial aid. We encourage your own good faith, Buddhists and philanthropists festival Member States support the temple, Chua Ky Vien, with the ability to be financial stable. We also receive offerings. Any contribution will help towards the festival for elders and the younger generation to learn the source of ancestry and culture of Vietnam.
