  • Shri 5 Navtanpuri Dham is the Acharyapith-the principle seat as well as the origin place of Shri Krishna Pranami Dharma (Nijanand Sampradaya). This pilgrimage is founded by the grace of Lord Shri Rajji (Shri Krishnaji) Himself through Sadguru Shri Devchandraji Maharaj in the year 1630.
  • After the establishment of this Pith Sadguru Shri Devchandraji Maharaj stayed here for 25 years and made it transcendental (more valuable) by His divine pastime. This is the place where the second Acharya Mahamati Shri Prannathji took Shelter of sadguru Shri Devchandraji Maharaj and made His soul awakened.
Our History
  • Shri 5 Navtanpuri Dham popularly known as Khijada Mandir situated in Jamnagar, Gujarat was founded by Nijanand Swami Shri Devchandreji the former Achraya of Shri Krishna Pranami Sampradaya in 1630 A.D. He was a realized Soul.
  • Formerly this holy place was a garden. According to the Pranami Vitak-tradition once Shri Devchandraji went to the garden and took a small twig of a Khijda tree for cleaned his teeth and then tearing into two, planted them into the ground. During the course of time they grew in to two big trees and both the trees are still attached to the main wall of the shrine. Due to this the temple is known as “Khijada Mandir” all around.
  • “Gadi Orado” in the temple vicinity contains three rooms. The middle one is adorned with the divine throne of the revered preceptor Achraya Shri Devachnadraji Maharaj. Jamunaji Kuvo (well) is the place where the revered preceptor had described the absolute abode (Pramdham) to the Devotees (Sundar Sath). Hearing the divine description of the scared water of Jamuna, “Sundar Sath” expressed the desire of drinking that water. Drawing a line with his finger the preceptor described the original place of Jamuna and at once the water of Jamuna was flooded there. It is therefore named as Jamunaji Kuvo. It is in the vicinity of the temple. About 3000 dvotees are visiting the temple every day to perform worship. It has over 10 millions followers and more than 600 temples and cultural centers spread all over the world, out of 600 temples, about 106 temples are situated in Gujarat.

Present Religious Head

  • Acharya Shri 108 Krishnamaniji Maharaj is the present Jagadguru Acharya (Religious Head) of Shri Krishna Pranami Sampradaya. At present, this Sampradaya has over 10 million followers and more than 800 temples and centers spread all over the world.
  • Nijanandacharya Shri Devchandraji Maharaj is the founder of this Sampradaya. He established Shri 5 Navtanpuri Dham as the Acharya Peeth (chief seat) of this Sampradaya in Jamnagar in 1630 AD. His main disciple Mahamati Shri Prannathji propagated the philosophy of this Sampradaya all over the world. In this Acharya Parampara (Tradition), Acharya Shri 108 Krishnamaniji Maharaj is the 14th Acharya of this Sampradaya.
  • Under his able guidance, alongwith cultivating a spirit of universal brotherhood & reverence for all religions, the Sampradaya has been involved in many social & humanitarian activities in the field of education, health, human welfare, relief and rehabilitation. It conducts Kinder Gartens, Primary Schools, High Schools, Higher secondary Schools,Gurukuls, colleges & Goushalas (cow breeding farm). It runs hospitals, dispensaries & organizes Medical camps regularly. It arranges health awareness, tree plantation, water preservation and helps in building of check-dams, digging of small ponds in fields for water preservation etc. It sponsors environment oriented activities and participates in instant relief programs for the affected people during natural calamities like flood ravage, drought, cyclone & earthquake. Many Schools, temples & shelters were constructed for the affected people during cyclone & earthquake. This kind of service centres are spread all over the country which run social & humanitarian activities from time to time.
