Jagran Correspondent, Bareilly: MJP Ruhelkhand University has received a grant of Rs 24 lakh 84 thousand from the Center for Excellence. Of this, 16.5 lakh rupees have been given to the Department of Ancient History, while eight lakh 34 thousand rupees have been given to the Department of Applied Regional Economics. The Department of Ancient History will use this money to modernize the Panchal Museum.
The Department of Ancient History had last year sought a budget from the Center for Excellence to modernize the Panchal Museum but it was not met. This time the department sought grants for the construction and modernization of the currency museum, laboratory. Head of the department Prof. Abhay Kumar Singh informed that besides research, cleaning and maintenance of ancient carpet postures, modern laboratory will also be constructed.
