Adiyogi is here to liberate you from disease, discomfort, and poverty – above all, from the very process of life and death. – Sadhguru Over 15,000 years ago, predating all religion, Adiyogi, the first Yogi, transmitted the science of Yoga to his seven disciples, the Saptarishis. Recognized as the world’s largest bust sculpture by the Guinness World Records, the face of Adiyogi is 112 feet high, representing the 112 ways he offered for one to attain to wellbeing and one’s Ultimate nature. Installed near the Adiyogi is the Yogeshwar Linga, which was consecrated by Sadhguru, as manifestation of five of the major chakras in the human system. Adiyogi, with the presence of the Yogeshwar Linga, has become a living entity. How to Get There Adiyogi – The Source of Yoga is situated 30 kilometers (20 miles) west of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore, a major industrial city in southern India, is well connected by air, rail and road. Major airlines operate regular flights to Coimbatore from Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Train services are available from all major cities in India. There are direct buses between Coimbatore and Adiyogi (view the timetable). Taxis can be booked from the airport as well as the railway station. Alternatively, contact the travel desk to book a taxi to the center. Adiyogi is open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Dhyanalinga premises are open from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Adiyogi and dhyanalinga will remain close on friday, saturday and sunday. (Dhyanalinga premises are closed on every Shivratri.) Guidelines to Visitors: Visitors should bring masks and hand sanitizers Entry to the premises is allowed only through the Malai Vasal entrance on Poondi Road near Muttathuvayal. Two-wheeler and car parking is available on the premises. Public transport is also accessible. Entry is restricted for the following individuals: Visitors from Red Zones and Containment Areas Visitors below 10 years and above 65 years Pregnant women Persons with COVID-19 symptoms Guidelines to be followed on the premises: Maintain 6-feet distance from others Wearing a face mask covering your nose and mouth at all times is mandatory Spitting is prohibited Disinfect your hands frequently by washing with soap and water or using a hand sanitizer Medical screening including a temperature check will be done for all visitors. Yogeshwar Linga Offerings

As a way to become open to the energies of Yogeshwar Linga, devotees can make an offering of water and neem leaves to the linga. Adiyogi Vastram Devotees can offer a vastram to Adiyogi by tying a black cloth on one of the trishuls surrounding Adiyogi.

Adiyogi Pradakshina

An opportunity to become receptive to the Grace of Adiyogi, which can fuel one’s striving towards ultimate liberation. Purnima Every full moon night, Adiyogi is open until 12:00 am and a music concert is offered in front of Adiyogi from 10:30 pm – 11:30 pm

Amavasya

Every new moon day, traditional offerings are made to the Yogeshwar Linga by people from the surrounding villages.
