Date of Installation Solar Calendar: September 4th, 2005  Lunar Calendar: Bhadarva Shud Ekam – V.S. 2061  Brief History Satsang in the NY/NJ area began in 1978 with His Holiness Acharya 1008 Shree Tejendraprasadji Maharaj’s first visit to USA.  With a few families in complete submission to His Holiness Acharya Maharajshree, the vision was established to build a temple for the spiritual aspirants in the most densely populated Indian community of America. The years passed on with that vision in the hearts of the growing numbers of satsangi families all over the Central New Jersey area. Upon twenty years of His Holiness Acharya Maharajshree’s first visit, the dream of building a Shikhar-bandh Swaminarayan Mandir was majestically fulfilled, with God’s grace and the selfless devotion of many volunteers.  Today, the mandir is an Indian community landmark for countless families throughout the NY/NJ/PA area. The weekly spiritual sessions and daily sermons has left an indelible mark on the lives of many. In addition, the facilities provide an opportunity for cultural and social activities to be included with our auspicious Mandir aura.  The installation ceremony of the idols in the temple was performed by Holiness Acharya 1008 Shree Koshalendraprasadji Maharaj. The principle idol of NarNarayan Dev is a replica of the NarNarayan Dev idol in Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Kalupur-Ahmedabad. The Divine idol Abhishek was performed by Holiness Acharya 1008 Shree Koshalendraprasadji Maharaj, RETIRED Holiness Acharya 1008 Shree Tejendraprasadji Maharaj, and Holiness Lalji Maharaj Vrajendraprasadji. The Murti Pratistha was celebrated in the presence of thousands of people from all over the world with great splendor.  To this date devotees of all denominations including, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. come for the divine darshan of Lord Swaminarayan.
