Hindu Vedic Society

Mission

To promote religious and cultural aspects of Hinduism in Baton Rouge and surrounding communities by providing a place for worship, organizing cultural events, participating in civic activities, fund raising and encouraging private philanthropy.

Temple

 The HVS temple has been serving Hindus in and around Baton Rouge since 1991.The temple serves as an ideal place of worship and provides a peaceful setting for satsang and bhajans.

Bala Vihar

The Bala Vihar Program is a forum for teaching children about the Hindu culture, tradition and heritage, cast in the American context. It is modeled after the Bala Vihar curriculum of the Chinmaya Mission.
