Rajiv Gandhi Park

As soon as one enters the city of Vijayawada, they will be welcomed by a beautiful park located quite near the Bus stand known as the Rajiv Gandhi Park. Built by the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, this park is named after Rajiv Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India. Rajiv Gandhi Park is one of the major attractions of Vijayawada, with hordes of visitors thronging this place in huge numbers, especially during the evenings.

Rajiv Gandhi Park attracts the visitors with its impressive horticulture network. The wide variety of flower plants grown on the fertile soil brought from the banks of the River Krishna make this park truly attractive. The built-up structures of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals make this park an educative one as well. A mini zoo and aquarium, skating rink, playpen, rock fall, gun shooting, mini train and jeep ride are some of the other attractions here. The musical fountain that operates during the evenings except on Mondays is something that can be enjoyed by young and old alike.
