Awunching – The Great Escape’ park at Pheidinga hillock as seen on 25th February 2016. The park is built over 36 hectares of land and ‘Awunching’ was set up in 2003, It has a separate play ground and play kits for childrens which are free.The Great Escape Park, a park promising unlimited fun and repose for children will be opened to the public on February 14. Named after the famous American film ‘The Great Escape’, the park is set up at Awun Ching, Pheidinga, some 14 kilometers to the North of Imphal. Built over an area of about 3-4 hectares, the park is decorated with varieties of flowers, plants and trees. The park has a large pond wherein visitors can play Zorbing water. There is also a restaurant surrounded by rose plants inside the park. The park has a trekking space and a play ground for children. On can also see fowls, squirrels and deer playing in its natural habitat inside the park. The park offers catering service as well as ample cooking space for picnickers who wish to cook meals for themselves.
